Support Small Local Business Lavender Harvest

There is an opportunity to save 12,000 lavender plants on a private field.

The land owner would dearly love to see these plants cared for, a small business thrive, and the island regain the opportunity for local lavender products.

In order to save these plants I need to act at once--we are rapidly approaching the peak of harvest season right now! Collecting the lavender requires weeding the over grown field, harvesting the 4,000 lavender plants and transporting the flowers to Orcas Island for processing. It is way more work than I can possibly do alone, and the cost of that labor and processing adds up fast.

I would love to use any funds left over to put towards my own still, to be able to process much of the lavender in house, provide regular employment, and dive into my love of creating beautiful, healthy, sustainable, local lavender and other island grown products.
